Editorials and lookbooks take shape in the pastel courtyards around Place du Marché, in the boutiques of Rue Saint-Victor and Rue Saint-Joseph and at the Marché de Carouge (Wednesday and Saturday). Design and ceramics ateliers open up for fashion shoots, the Théâtre de Carouge offers graphic backdrops. Social content and reels you shoot between Place de Sardaigne, the terraces of Rue Vautier and the bank of the Arve.
Carouge was once laid out on a Sardinian-Savoyard drawing board and today works as a Mediterranean creative quarter in the middle of Geneva: low houses with inner courtyards, small design boutiques, fashion labels, ceramics ateliers, galleries and a lively market. Fashion brands, independent designers and editorial teams produce here — complementing the stricter luxury look of Geneva with warmer, more colourful imagery. Yes. Carouge is consistently French-speaking — castings and sets run in French. English is welcome in addition, especially for international fashion productions. Italian is a bonus.
